What you need to be considered:

  • Must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program
  • A strong interest in publishing and media
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and WordPress

If you are applying for a design, or digital publishing opportunity, strong abilities in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, Adobe Premiere and Dreamweaver are required. If you are applying for an editorial role, strong knowledge of WordPress is requred.

The program will run five days a week, on a full-time basis, from Monday, May 6th, 2019 to Friday, August 30th, 2019. The internships are based in Toronto and are paid biweekly at a rate of $15 per hour (minus applicable taxes).

Interns may be placed in the following areas:

You will join one of our publications and be given the opportunity to contribute story ideas and write web content, short articles or sidebars. You’ll also be fact-checking, image sourcing and building online articles.

You will be placed with our digital audience development team and will assist with content analytics, SEO best practice documentation and delivering on SEO optimization projects across the digital brands. You may also have the opportunity to participate in projects across the digital audience group covering activities such as social media optimization, loyalty and growing digital audience engagement.

You will work closely with the art department will join one of our publications. Interns may be asked to design pages for the print and tablet editions, or in-house advertisements.

You will join one of our innovative, fast-paced digital focused teams with an emphasis on digital media marketing, social media, analytics, audience engagement and digital project management.

You will be heavily involved in pre-production through to post-production on various projects for different brands. Ability to shoot on DSLR cameras and edit video using Adobe Premiere is essential. Interns must have their own equipment and experience using it. Some travel may be required. This area is behind the scenes and is not to be confused with anchoring/hosting.

Motion Graphics
You will work closely with the branded content team. Some travel may be required.
